I’m a graphic artist and designer with more than twenty years’ experience producing information graphics and illustrations for print and online publications. I’m also an assistant professor in the MTSU School of Journalism’s visual communication sequence.
Most of the examples on this site were done for three U.S. newspapers, The Seattle Times, the San Jose Mercury News and The Orange County Register. They were created through a variety of media from traditional — pencils and paintbrushes — to digital — graphic and 3D-modeling software.
Newsrooms are highly collaborative operations and a lot of these examples were created through teamwork. In each case I have listed the names and roles of all who were involved.
