About this project
This project is the work of Floris Moriceau, a former exchange student at Middle Tennessee State University, and Philip Loubere, an assistant professor of journalism at MTSU. Fortress Rosecrans is part of the Stones River National Monument and is in the city of Murfreesboro, TN. MTSU, also in Murfreesboro, is part of the Tennessee Board of Regents education system.
This project started as a senior thesis for Floris’ completion of his studies as an exchange student at MTSU and for his school, Université Caen Basse-Normandie in France, in the Spring of 2010.
Several months later, Floris and Phil decided to redesign and re-implement the project as a demonstration of an interactive graphic without the use of Adobe Flash. The purpose of this is so that it will function on every possible device, including Apple and Android phones and PDAs.
Floris and Phil have formed a partnership to offer this service. This site is being made available to the National Park Service, the County of Rutherford and the City of Murfreesboro, should they wish to link to it.
