This project was a production of Middle Tennessee State University’s School of Journalism in conjunction with the Daily News Journal.

The concept, originally proposed by Associate Professor Ken Blake, was to interview Murfreesboro residents who had had a direct experience with the tornado a year ago and to make a comprehensive graphic of the tornado’s path and the extent of damage it inflicted.

Students from one of the School’s reporting classes did the interviews. They then wrote short articles and in some cases recorded audio or made soundslide presentations.The results have been compiled into this interactive presentation.
